Adjacent to Langan Park, the Gardens encompass a 100-acre site of cultivated gardens, woodland trails, and a longleaf pine forest.  Established in 1974 by a dedicated group of horticulturists to preserve the natural aspects of the local environment, the Gardens have grown and developed into an oasis for the community.  To locate The Gardens, please go to the Visitor Information page.

Dedicated to preserving the native plantings and to educating the community, the Mobile Botanical Gardens encompasses an extensive variety of cultivated areas and collections.  A non-profit 501(c)3 organization, The Gardens holds fundraising events during the year to raise money for its ongoing operations and maintenance. 

Plantasia!  Spring and Fall Plant Sales.  These events feature thousands of unusual and native plants selected  for their beauty and ability to flourish in the Gulf Coast. Knowledgeable volunteers, many of the Master Gardeners, are available to help shoppers select the best plants for their gardens.

MBG MarketPlace.  A smaller version of the Spring and Fall Plant Sales, this is open on every Saturday morning from April throughout June.  Members receive notice of special sales, so please consider joining the Gardens!

Educational ProgramsWhat plants do best on the Gulf Coast?  What types of critters are eating my tomatoes?  MBG offers programs, field trips, and workshops designed to help you with your gardening needs, whether you enjoy native plants, vegetable gardening, flowering plants or container gardening.  Check out the Calendar and mark the dates.
